Southampton Spartans Korfball Club

Korfball - a sport for those that want to try something new and different! No experience of Korfball required!

Korfball is a fast-paced and dynamic game that is the only truly mixed gender team sport in the world. The sport is accessible to anyone, whether young or old, male or female, beginner or international athlete.

Southampton Spartans Korfball Club is a relatively new club, made up of a variety of individuals from all walks of life. We cater for individuals who wish to play competitively as well as individuals who wish to play socially. The sport is also a good way of meeting new people, so we do have a lot of socials as a club.

Korfball consists of teams of eight players, with two females and two males in each half of the pitch. The posts are slightly higher and there are some rules which makes the game differ slightly from Netball and Basketball. The sport is based on cooperation within the team, and the rules provide equality.

The best way to truly understand the beautiful sport is to come and try it yourself. Our club and the sport itself is one of a kind, so grab a pair of trainers and a water bottle and come and join in the fun! Or contact us for more information.
