Imperial College School of Medicine Football Club

I am the Club Captain of the Imperial Medical School of Medicine Football Club. We currently run four student teams that compete in the University Leagues for South East England and London. We are forming a spin-off club this season that will consist of 1 team that will play in a local Sunday League under the jurisdiction of the Middlesex FA. This additional club is being set up with the intention of involving more medical students in to the sport but also largely as a means on ensuring our graduates, now working doctors, are able to continue playing regular sport.

Unfortunately, there is a limit to our potential student generated income. This new Sunday league club, plus other planned future ventures that are set to improve our club and the sporting lives of our members, will be very testing on our budget.

Do you think we have the potential to attract any form of sponsorship. In return we can offer the advertisement of a logo/company name on any combination of our playing shirts, training wear, website and weekly newsletter. We also host a number of events which may hold avenues for sponsorship/branding, including our Alumni Dinner and Club Dinner.

We have about 85 undergraduate members and a similar number of active alumni. We play matches against all the other London universities and universities across south-east England. We also compete against the other London medical schools in the United Hospitals Cup (the second oldest football competition in the world after the FA Cup) and in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) football tournament. Furthermore, we play at the Varsity event against Imperial College in front of the entire University in March.
