University of brighton rugby league
We are the university of brighton rugby league side.
We are a recently established team, only forming last year, with massive ambitions to be a leading part of rugby league in the south - as well as doing our upmost to maintain links with the community and businesses within brighton.
Despite starting the 2015 academic year with only one player, good recruitment enabled the team to field a steong line up by january. The team has been entered in to the national bucs league from 2016, with an expected squad of around 20 after freshers recruitment.
The team already has strong links in the community through a local Rugby side, but this is just the beginning for us, as we hope to branch out beyond the game and really leave a positive, lasting, legacy behind us when we graduate
Our committee members are passionate and driven, but the team can only grow with the aid of a partner to provide sponsorship in return to a beneficial agreement.
Sponsorship would enable many things. Firstly it would improve the training and match day experience for the players. Branded, quality, equipment - such as training tops, post game attire, personal products- would intrigue a wider variety of players of all abilities (as inclusively will remain one of our fundamental goals).
In addition, sponsorship may allow the opportunity to branch our beyond the playing team. Photograph, journalism and management students could be invited to the team in non playing roles to benefit both their study/experience as well as help the running of the team out.
